Projects in Progress from From My Carolina Home

I have been working on many quilting projects, but so much is still secret. I’m able to give some sneak peeks now, and I am so eager to show you what I can. I began quilting my Pachanga quilt, and it was a struggle at first with thread breaking. I think I have that figured out, but quilting is going slowly, more on that later. On another project, I have begun the work on my Christmas fabrics quilt. This is a sneak preview of Fat Quarter Shop’s upcoming Starry Charms quilt pattern. I chose to do mine in ...

Secret Sewing, Garden and More from From My Carolina Home

It seems like it has been a while since I could share with you what I am working on in the sewing room. But, alas, everything I am currently doing is a secret. And it is multiple projects, LOL!! First, I am making progress on Pachanga, but I can’t show you that yet. Second, there is a super secret project that is in the works. Then, I finished a special tutorial project for Hands2Help, but that will be on Sarah’s blog in May. I’ll be starting on another project this week that will be for Fat Quarter ...

To Do Tuesday for 03/30/2021 from Life In Pieces

March is just about over.  In just a couple of days we'll be into April and a quarter of 2021 will be in the past.  I'm not a quarter of the way through my sewing ambitions list, but I'm close.  Writing a weekly to do list has been really helpful in keeping me on task. I didn't stay completely on task last week, but that's because the non-stitching plans for the weekend changed.

Weekly To Do List for 03/23/2021
  • Grassy Creek: Press and clean up backing
  • Morewood Mystery: Continue to assemble quilt top ...

A Slow Week from Romany Quilting

It’s been rather a slow week here, as far as stitching goes.  No rolling the dice, and sadly, no chance to start assembling one or other of my Rainbow Scrap Challenge projects.  But…… I did get one out, my little spool wall-hanging I’m making for the sewing room, look at it to see how I want to arrange the spools, and that’s about it.  Does that count for anything?   The only actual stitching I’ve done is for a secret squirrel Christmas project, and you know I cant show that just yet.  Or maybe, just a smidgeon ...

January One Monthly Goal from Books, Hooks, Sticks, etc.

Patty, over at Elm Street Quilts is once again hosting the One Monthly Goal program so that we can work towards clearing out our creative endeavors one project at a time.

The sign-ups are only open for a short period of time. . . . so be sure to go HERE to sign up.

I actually have 2 goals to work towards this month. . . . but since one is secret sewing I can't show that. . . at least not yet.

So, the January goal that I can show now is this:

This is the beginning of a storage tote.  It was a kit that ...

Friday Chat from Mama Spark's World

I have a little bit of this and a little bit of that to catch you up with.   We are all settling back into a normal routine now that Finn is home.   He and Cole and he and Chris are setting in to their old routines. On top of this, I trimmed up the Shooting Stars quilt, with some help of course. I don't think I have shared this quilt yet either.   I need to get the binding on
